May I present to you our new Krups!
My husband went out on the weekend and purchased this baby while I was at work. It has only been used a few times so far… I quite like it. It’s not too huge, it only makes coffee (it doesn’t grind your beans or brew for you on a timer), and it keeps your coffee warm in the carafe. That’s all we wanted. I brewed myself a cup of coffee this morning and then I had to run out to a doctor’s appointment, when I came back almost two hours later my coffee was still hot! The only thing so far that is a bit of an adjustment is the pouring spout. You really have to tip the pot on its side to get the coffee to pour out, which is fine as there is no spillage.
My husband bought it at Sears. He had seen the same model on sale at Future Shop for $119 (this was the floor model), so, Sears came close to the floor model price at $129. The original price was $169.99 at Sears (way too much in my opinion). My husband also had a Visa gift card (in our opinion a big pain in the ass those Visa gift cards) for $50, so, the grand total for this machine was $96.67 including taxes. I still think that is expensive.
Here is a side view. You can see me taking the picture. I wonder how long I can keep it as shiny as it is now. I can’t stand it when my stainless steel appliances get blotchy looking, so, this may drive me crazy!
My husband was really on a domestic shopping spree! We were also out of our usual assortment of teas, so, because he was at the mall he noticed a DavidsTea store. He asked the attendant at the store to recommend a good tea with lots of antioxidants properties. He was recommended buddha’s blend because it contains white tea, green tea, jasmine, and white hibiscus. So, he bought it. When he got home he put his reading glasses on 🙂 and read the ingredients. He was so annoyed to find out the tea contains artificial flavouring. I’m annoyed too. With all the tea offerings they have, why would they recommend a tea with artificial flavouring when someone asks them for a tea with specific health benefits? I had a look at their tea menu and they have a huge variety including organic teas.
The tea does look good and it does smell wonderful. I’m sipping some right now as I write.
What kinds of teas do you enjoying drinking? Do you try to avoid artificial flavourings?
